Sylvia Blake

Many people have asked me why the name Sylvia Blake when my actual name is Lia. When I was deciding what I wanted to call my new venture, I thought of my grandmother (named Sylvia) because she helped teach me to sew. Blake was the name my husband and I had selected for our third child if it was a girl (turned out it was a boy).

My love for sewing started at a young age (even before I can remember). I have also sewed items around my house. My friends and I used to have 'sewing parties' throughout my school age. When I had my daughter, I started focusing on sewing clothing for her. I loved to have some unique for her to wear.

I love mixing fabrics and creating unique pieces!
