About TEDxStanleyPark:
TEDxStanleyPark is a legendary not-for-profit intellectual variety show that is held annually in Vancouver. Live speakers share innovative and optimistic solutions to humanity’s tough challenges with a community of open and curious minds searching for ways to make a difference. These ideas power attitude shifts and launch movements that make positive change happen.

About TEDx
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including TEDxStanleyPark, are self-organized.

About TED
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 25 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. The annual TED Conference invites the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes. TED talkers have included Bill Gates, Al Gore, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, and Sir Richard Branson.

This world-class event relocated to our very own City of Vancouver in 2014. Chris Anderson, TED’s Curator, called Vancouver “one of the world’s greatest cities, combining a thriving culture of innovation with glorious nature.”
