The Crate Escape is passionate about dogs and their well-being! Here a few of the reasons:

*PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
Hiking will help to keep your dog healthy and fit. Just like people, overweight dogs are more like to damage joints, bones and ligaments, to develop heart disease and even diabetes. An active lifestyle is important to your dogs health and can increase their life span by a couple of years.

*MENTAL HEALTH
A healthy dog isn't just physically fit, but mentally happy too. Bored dogs can develop cabin fever like symptoms such as depression, separation anxiety, aggression and obsessive behaviors. A group hike will give your dog a mental outlet by stimulating their senses and socializing with other dogs.

*SOCIALIZATION
Dogs are highly social and want to have friends just as people do. Your dog will socialize and play with other dogs off leash while hiking. This is a great opportunity to maintain social skills, read other dogs' body language and improve their own communication skills.


*TRAINING
Dogs were created for specific jobs and often feel frustrated without work. Training is incorporated into hiking adventures, giving your dog a sense of purpose, building confidence and providing mental stimulation.
