The Smith's Lakehouse on Buckhorn Lake - Kawartha Cottage Vacation

Nestled on the shores of Upper Buckhorn Lake, our cottage is the perfect place for lazy summer days in the hammock or family fun on the water... come experience the relaxing pace of cottage living!

Under 2 hours from Toronto, our recently updated cottage is the ideal vacation destination for a large family or 2 families. The cottage offers amazing northwest lake views from the main living area as-well-as the master bedroom, both with walkouts to newly installed decks. The lower level rec-room (with ping-pong table) and sunroom (equipped with reading library and board games) are the perfect spots for some quiet reading or a hangout for the kids. The cottage has 3 bedrooms (Queen/Double/Single-over-double bunks) and 3 pullout couches.

Along the shoreline you will find a hammock swing, sandbox with toys, firepit as-well-as a walk-in swimming area. For your outdoor enjoyment and fun on the lake we offer 2 kayaks, a stand-up-paddle board, 3 person canoe, 2 person pedal boat, 5 adult size life jackets, propane BBQ and outdoor games (badminton, lawn bowling and washer toss). Don't forget to bring your life jackets, water shoes (recommended) and fishing gear!

The cottage is 5 minutes from the town of Buckhorn, where you will find a grocery store, LCBO as well as several restaurants. You also have access to a free boat launch a minute away from the cottage. Other nearby towns/cities are: Lakefield (20 minutes), Bobcaygeon (25 minutes) and Peterborough (30 minutes).

Saturday to Saturday rentals only and each rental will include one full tank of propane and a two bag garbage limit. Guests are required to bring their own linens, including blankets (pillows provided - no pillowcases) and food including condiments.
