The Southdowns

The Southdowns are an independant rock band from Mississauga, Ontario, inspired from a number of musical backgrounds - Blues, Hard Rock, Southern Rock and Country Music among a few. The Southdowns were recently formed in 2016 when lead singer Jeff Vetere brought his former John Fraser Secondary School bandmates (formerly known as Ironic Twist, circa 1994) back together with another old friend, Joe Bosi.

While their music immediately stands out with heartfelt lyrics, melodies and strong riffs, their sound is distinctly unique due to each of the union of diverse bandmember influences, citing among a few: The Black Crowes, Blue Rodeo, Aerosmith, The Tragically Hip, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Metallica.

The Southdowns consist of Jeff Vetere (Lead Vocals), Joe Bosi (Rhythm Guitar), Greg Florov (Drums), Nick Pickett (Bass), and Joey Bujold (Lead Guitar). They have recently recorded a 4-song EP locally in Mississauga.

Their ultimate aim is to inspire their listeners to recapture the magic, pure love and passion of Rock and Roll.
