More about The Steering Wheel Guy

"The Steering Wheel Guy"

I can repair/refinish any Plastic, Hard Rubber, Bakelite and Real wood steering wheels. With over 20 years experience I've done thousands of wheels on award winning vehicles all over the world and have worked on everything from Rolls Royce, Alfa's, HemiCuda's, Shelby GT500's, Olds, Buicks, AMC's, Cadillacs, Dodge and all makes/models of Trucks and even antique Boat wheels plus everything in between.

Many of the vehicles I've worked on have been featured in leading auto/truck magazines and I restored the steering wheel for Mopar Action magazines "Savvy Savoy" ongoing project car (1962 Plymouth Savoy) . Tech editor Richard Ehrenberg has referred readers to me and my business several times over the years in his articles and Tech Columns.
Here is a quote from Richard in the latest issue (Mopar Action April 2011 pg 86) "Tell Doug that Mopar Action sent you. He did the one on our '62 project "Savvy Savoy" and, years later, people think it is NOS!"

Winter flies by and before you know it, driving/show season is here again. If you or any of your customers would like to get their steering wheel repaired/refinished for this years driving/show season, now is the time to contact me.

Any color or colors can be matched and I specialize in Plastic wood grained wheels like those found on he top of the line performance cars from the 60's and 70's.

I also stock awesome reproduction switches for Mopar and Ford rim blow wheels. Re-plating services are also available for trim items as well as the satin chrome that many of the late 60's and early 70's wheels spokes came in. Wheels that were thought to be unusable due to pitting and flaking plating on the spokes are now savable!

Any wheel can be repaired no matter how bad the damage or how much material is missing. Custom sized wheels are also possible for Hot Rods and custom vehicles as well as multiple colors, added chrome or other metal bands, stripes or trim.

What ever you dream up, I can make a reality for you and your customers!
