Through the generous support of the Province of Manitoba and City of Winnipeg, The University of Winnipeg has opened a $40 Million, multi-sport Health & RecPlex that will help alleviate the chronic shortage of indoor recreational space in Winnipeg, enhance the UWinnipeg student experience and offer neighbourhood youth and residents unsurpassed recreational opportunities.
Located on Spence Street, the three story, indoor green space accommodates a multitude of sports such as soccer, baseball, football, ultimate and track and field, as well as cultural and community events.
The Health & RecPlex is connected by a sky bridge to the existing Duckworth Centre which has been renovated to include a new Health, Wellness and Healing Centre offering primary health care, athletic therapy, concussion treatment and multitude of other health services and programs.
