Tomhegan Lodge is a classic grand lodge built on Tomhegan Point in 1910, on the shore of 39-mile Moosehead Lake in the beautiful Northern Maine wilderness. Initially built as the main lodge for a group of sporting camps, Tomhegan Lodge retains its rustic charm while offering modern amenities including 5 bedrooms/5 bathrooms and capacity to sleep 25 people. The Lodge is available for rental in four seasons, and is ideal for large gatherings, families, retreats, and sporting groups. Located in the middle of a nature preserve, Tomhegan Lodge is known for its abundant wildlife, year round outdoor activities, and the hospitality of on-site managers, Norm and Leona.
Ideally situated, Tomhegan Lodge offers easy access in warmer weather for mountain biking, hiking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, motor boating, water sports, swimming, and listening to the loons or feeding deer from the porch overlooking your own spot on the lake. Winter weather offers snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and miles of snowmobiling, all right from your front door. Within a short drive are numerous additional outdoor activities including hiking or golf at Mount Kineo, whitewater rafting, and downhill skiing at Squaw Mountain.
Bed linens, blankets and towels are provided, and Tomhegan Lodge has a well-equipped kitchen including a commercial range. A short walk takes you to the Tomhegan marina, which provides a place to tie up your boat or sea plane, and provides spectacular views of the Spencer mountains. Tomhegan Lodge provides canoes, kayaks or motor boats for rent in the summer, and ice fishing shacks for rent in the winter. Firewood is delivered to your own private fire pit at the edge of the lake.
Enjoy the essence and beauty of classic Maine, in any season, at Tomhegan Lodge.
