Vancouver Island Shakespeare Arts

The Vancouver Island Shakespeare Arts Society was founded in 2015 as a professional theatrical performance company after several years as Victoria Shakespeare by the Sea, under the auspices of Discovery Dance Theatre. From it's beginning in 2013, this company continues to deliver top quality performances with a troupe of dedicated actors under the superb artistic direction of Robert Light, MFA.

Growing from a single Victoria venue at Clover Point, the company now performs at four different Vancouver Island venues presenting performances of two shows annually, a tragedy and comedy, from William Shakespeare’s best plays. The outdoor venues, against a backdrop of the Salish Sea, provide wonderful settings for the plays in an intimate audience environment.
