Vancouver Recovery Through Art Society

VRTAS, Vancouver Recovery Through Arts Society, believes in recovery from addiction and mental health through art, learning about it, creating it, enjoying it. We support initiatives that truly transform lives, such as the Art Studios; an innovative program that offers free art classes to individuals who have a mental illness. The program lost its funding in 2013 and has been supported by donors since then. VRTAS is calling everyone to join us on our journey to save initiatives like this, ones that truly create recovery.

As a society, we have a responsibility to help people heal from mental illness, not only treat the symptoms.

Please note: All programs are managed and run by The Art Studios. VRTAS is a separate Society focusing on The Art Studios because we believe it is the best available program of its kind and we want it to survive and thrive!
