We’re a group of hard-working restaurant guys who truly believe that every product in the kitchen should be of quality, local ingredients. Each product goes through an extensive curing, drying, and aging phase that is checked over time to bring out the most flavour.

If you want to talk about humble beginnings, it begins with our Founder & Product Development Director Stuart. With a passion for the culinary arts, he began to hang meat in his parents basement at a young age- we’re still not sure how they liked that.

Years of developing recipes and experimenting brought him to obtain three different culinary diplomas, most notably from Alma, where he was immersed within Italian cuisine and the art of authentic salumi.

Fast forward to early 2015, where meat hanging in his basement became a thing again, with family and close friends asking for it. Now with a dedicated facility coupled with restaurant and wholesale accounts, VDG Salumi is a leader with providing a quality product to other chefs and foodies with the same passion about food as Stuart. We’re the best you can get- honestly.
