Werkstatt is the Creative speakeasy located in the heart of downtown Edmonton. To access the studio, one must follow the boardwalk across the roof of the historic Alberta Block while taking in the scenery. The Werkstatt embodies the spirit of Edmonton and maintains the creative legacy of the CKUA.

What separates the studio from other spaces is that all professional grip and lighting equipment is included in the rental cost. All that is needed is an idea, a camera and some creative energy. No wasted time loading equipment. Change over time is counted towards rental time so you can have your full time to make something truly amazing.

The studio is available to rent by the hour, the half-day, or full-day. Longer rentals are available for special pricing for larger productions. Full 24 access is available for whatever needs the projects have.

The space boasts a functional kitchen, including a microwave, dishwasher, mini-fridge and sink. A 10’x3’ island completes the area for an ideal location for creative brainstorming sessions. The spacious bathroom doubles as a change room and is equipped with a shower.

A sound poof booth completes the rental areas for the floor designed for recording vocals, commercials or podcasts. For event planners, the Werkstatt can seat 40 comfortably (all chairs are on site) and the common area can host another 30 people. A full P.A. and projector system is in place for presentations at no extra cost.
