About Me:
After spending five years teaching high school band in rural Manitoba I have returned to Winnipeg to start my very own studio! My studio will be located in Charleswood, but I will also be offering private lessons in the comfort of your own home in a variety of communities west of Route 90 (hence the name...if you live in River Heights we'll talk :-) )

I have almost twenty years experience teaching privately and in the public school system combined! I offer beginner private lessons on almost all band instruments, but I specialize in piano and flute.

Group Lessons:

Band Headstart Program
This class will help prepare new band students for the exciting world of band class! It is tailored to complement instruction students receive in their band class during the first month of school! The goal of this group lesson is to reduce student start up frustration, and give parents an insider's look at what it takes to be the parent of an up and coming musician! The class meets once a week for three weeks in September and comes with a FREE private lesson! Please note that your own instrument is required to participate in this class

Beginner Jazz Band Headstart Program
This group lesson is designed to prepare band students who are new to the Jazz Band program at their school. Students will typically be facing new musical challenges specific to the Jazz Band, such as learning a new instrument, style of playing, and music vocabulary. The goal of this class is to help provide students with a head start in their new musical setting and reduce early frustration. Students in this class will typically have one or more years of music experience and will be enrolled in a Jazz Band program at their school. At this time the class will NOT address the rhythm section (bass, electric bass, guitar, piano/keyboard), although private lessons for jazz piano/keyboard can be arranged. This group will meet once a week for three weeks in September. Please note that your own instrument is required to participate in this class.

L'il Movers and Shakers! (0-18 months)
This class is designed infants up to 18 months and their caregiver. The goal of this class is to provide a musical atmosphere where child-led developmental milestones can be encouraged and fostered. Caregivers will be taught a variety of simple songs and lullabies they can use with the infant inside and outside of class. Infants and caregivers are encouraged to mingle during the last 15 minutes of class as they discover new ways to make music (optional) Come prepared to participate and join your little one in a fun musical experience! This class meets once per week throughout the school year and can be purchased in 4 week sessions (a discount applies to 8 or more weeks)
