Windmill Theatre is a not for profit group supporting an annual series of cabaret concerts. The excellent Windmill Ensemble gathers both vocal and instrumental talent from Southern Ontario, and Mississauga in particular, to perform vocal productions based on a series of musical themes. We are now in our 8th year of operations and are closing in on 50th concert production. The company has a loyal and growing following of subscribers, sponsors and volunteers. In particular, we are supported by a substantial grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and 4 sponsors in our highest, platinum category. Windmill typically produces a season of 5 theme-related concerts. In addition, we sponsor an annual vocal competition, to which the noted local philanthropist, Pat Anderson, has lent her name. As a further initiative, this year will see the commencement in June of our Summer Festival. Windmill Theatre performs out of The Great Hall, a beautiful beamed room forming part of the Mississauga Unitarian congregation facility. Windmill is noted for performance excellence and a creative approach to vocal presentation. We have developed a resident band and orchestra, which allows us to give maximum expression to our musical style.
