Wooden It Be Nice - Custom Woodworking

We are a family run custom woodworking business in Brooklin, Ontario. We provide services for furniture repairs, custom furniture, built-ins, and home decor. We tell our customers "if you can dream it, we can build it".

Scott Bennett, Owner, has been published in Canadian Home Workshop magazine. His talent was recognized at a young age when he competed twice in the United States Skills Olympics cabinetmaking competition, representing Canada. This was the highest level of competition for high school students in North America. Leading up to this, each year he won the Durham Region cabinetmaking competition and the Ontario cabinetmaking competition.

After graduating university with a Bachelor of Business Administration and pursuing a career in corporate settings, Scott has returned to his passion for woodworking by opening Wooden It Be Nice in 1999. Many of the pieces Scott built before this were for his own home, but by opening a business, he pushed the boundaries of his comfort zone.

Now an accomplished woodworker and experienced at furniture repair, he has the skill and experience to tackle any project. Our customers sometimes give us a new challenge, and we always delight them with the results. See our testimonials to see what they have to say.

Scott earned a LEED Green Associate accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council in 2015. He also has a Sustainability Professional certificate from the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP). This means that we understand the need for eco-friendly furniture to reduce our impacts on the environment. We also might be the only woodworking business in Canada with solar panels on our roof!
