Yoga with Jeannie

Jeannie began practicing Yoga in 1974 and was blessed by meeting her first teacher, Swami Sivananda Radha the following year. Swami Radha was initiated into sanyasin by the late Swami Sivananda Saraswati of Rishikesh, India.

Swami Radha was Jeannie’s inspiration to make Yoga a way of life and in 1975 to begin her teaching career.

In 1984 she took an intensive teacher training program at Yasodhara Ashram under the direction of Swami Radha that included: the Kundalini System, hatha yoga, mind & meditation, dreams, the Divine Light Invocation, mantra and symbolism.

In the late 90s Jeannie met her current teacher Gangaji of Ashland, Oregon. Gangaji follows in the lineage of Sri HWL Poonjaji
and Sri Ramana Maharshi. Under Gangaji’s inspiration, Jeannie has deepened her commitment to her own personal search for Truth.

Jeannie’s balanced style of Yoga focuses on the whole person and incorporates mindfulness, breath work,
yoga asana, relaxation, meditation and self inquiry into her teaching.

She is registered with Yoga Alliance (2001) and the International Association of Yoga Therapists (2004).
