With over thirteen years experience in the interior design industry, Benjamin John Ouellette takes the needs, personality and vision of a client and creates intuitive working spaces that stimulate all five of the senses. Benjamin is always searching for new concepts and products to assist with his designs, offering his clients cutting-edge solutions that assist in daily life.

Reflecting his passion and aptitude for design, Benjamin was named Top 30 Under 30 from the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) for 2016 from hundreds of nominations across North America, and represented Kitchener Waterloo at KBIS (Kitchen & Bath Industry Show) in 2016 and 2017.

His story was splashed across local and national media in profiles like a biography on the front page of the business section in the Waterloo Chronicle and full-page spreads showcasing his work in various newspapers and luxury lifestyle magazines like London Free Press, Elgin Weekly News, Channers Magazine, Grand Magazine, Lifestyle magazine and the Globe and Mail. Not to mention invitations to trend spot for national newspapers and trade shows.

Benjamin is a back-to-back North American Elite Design Award winner, and has won awards with local home builder’s associations. Benjamin is a member of the NKBA.

As the lead designer for Casey’s Creative Kitchens in Waterloo, Ontario, Benjamin has worked with numerous prominent clients from all walks of life, with different aspirations and needs. Waterloo is a technological hub of Canada, allowing Benjamin to emphasize modern technology while customizing clients’ homes and provide innovative solutions from the floor up. In order to stay on top of his game, Benjamin routinely travels all around Canada and the US attending thought leadership summits, designer affairs and product knowledge events pertaining to the interior design and more specifically the kitchen and bath industry.

After receiving an Advanced Interior Design Diploma from the School of Design at Fanshawe College, he launched his company Benjamin John Ouellette Interior Design (BJOID) that provides great synergy with Casey’s and offers his clients a wide variety of additional design services.
