As a young girl I used to accompany my father to work on days that I had off from school, as I loved assisting them with a coffee, or even a cookie while they worked away. Having said that, I can recall a point where I said to myself "I will never be in sales," and that was for multiple reasons. For starters, my dad was often travelling for work purposes, and therefore was not around as much as I would have liked him to be, and secondly, the idea of sitting in one of those cubicles from 9-5 seemed incredibly daunting; and last but certainly not least, the finance atmosphere was intimidating and pressure filled, and though my dad would always remind me that I "innately have the skills to become a great sales woman," I did not see that as my path. I knew I would be doing something that involved helping people due to personal circumstances, and it began with children.

Fast forward to September of 2014, I'm in my last semester at university, volunteering with the Canadian Mental Health Association, and quickly realizing I have no jobs. Moreover, I did not even have any prospects for that matter, as I had recently given up alcohol for my own health, and my three previous jobs were all in the wine industry. Fortunately for me, about 4 months later my sponsor Nicole Prendergast gave me some samples to try and took me to an Arbonne Experience. I was rather apprehensive, as I always felt like network marketing gigs were "hokey pokey," and there's no way I could do it. Nevertheless, after trying the products I could not get over how smooth and soft my skin was, and how clean I felt! My first time using the invigorating cleanser I must have washed it off for five minutes because I refused to believe thats how soft my skin would remain once the soap had washed off.

So I decided to go to an Arbonne Experience, and within minutes of listening to Tabatha Debruyn speak of her story, I just knew this was a good fit for me. Not only health and wellness products, but products that had the capacity to change peoples lives. The opportunity spans far beyond just selling the amazing premium products, the self growth and confidence I've developed is unbelievable, and I hate to admit it, but my dad was right I do make an innately killer sales woman. Most importantly, however, was the flexibility and support it allowed me to have.

I needed a change, but I needed something that would ultimately transform my life and thats exactly what Arbonne has provided me with. I work with some of the most amazing, beautiful, intelligent, and caring individuals on this planet, and this company stands for so much more than what we presume. Helping teens with their self esteem, or mental health in general is my #1 goal in life, and not only does Arbonne support that through their charitable foundation, but they have provided me with a supplementary income to potentially kickstart my own education centre one day.
