Dynamo SAMBO

Dynamo Sambo is an international partnership group focused on the development of grass roots Sambo and the advancement of the sport throughout the world leading up to it's inclusion into the Olympic Games.

Sambo is a Russian martial art that is rapidly growing in popularity around the globe. Sambo theory and technique has long been in intense development since its inception as a sport in the late 30′s in the USSR. The word “sambo” is derived from the word combination “unarmed self-defence”(SAMozaschita Bez Oruzhiya” in Russian). Vasily Oshchepkov and V.A. Spiridonov are credited as founders of sambo along with A.Kharlampiev who systematized the techniques and summarized the terminology.
